About the WMCBA

The West Maricopa County Bar Association (WMCBA) is a group of attorneys, judges, and legal professionals with a wide variety of interests, backgrounds and specialties, working together for the people of the West Valley Communities. We believe that many people prefer to patronize their local merchants and professionals for both the convenience it affords and because it supports their neighbors and local communities.

By way of background, The WMCBA is an adjunct of the larger Maricopa County Bar Association. Our boundaries include all of Maricopa County West of Interstate 17. While the make-up of our organization encompasses a substantial geographical and population base, it includes a relatively small, but rapidly growing, number of members. Unlike the ‘mega-firms’ common in other parts of town, most of our members practice individually or in smaller ’boutique-type firms’ which provide a much needed service for the West Valley Communities.

The WMCBA was originally conceived as a means of providing West Valley residents and workers a ‘Greater-Voice’ in the activities of the Arizona legal community. As such, we endeavor to promote the interests of particular concern to the West Valley and attempt to make our services – as well as those of the court system – more easily accessible to our client base.

Our activities include a Monthly Speakers Luncheon, Continuing Legal Education (CLE), Board Meetings, and Community Outreach. All of which are designed to help meet the specific needs of the West Valley.
